Fabulous Free Motion Quilting

FAST, FUN AND FABULOUS FREE MOTION QUILTING 

Quilters everywhere LOVE the excitement and fun of free motion quilting – and it’s easier than you think! Create flowing designs by connecting simple design elements with continuous lines, traveling across the quilt, or filling in a specific area. Learn how drawing and muscle memory contribute to beautiful free motion quilting, and how to create stunning designs. 

TOPICS INCLUDE: 

• How to develop an inventory of free motion designs 

• Proper scaling and spacing of design elements 

• Edge to edge free motion quilting 

• Adjusting your quilting path to create your own new designs

Please bring a notebook and a pencil. There will be a 1/2 hour lunch break, you can bring a lunch and keep it in the fridge at the store if you'd like, or whip out and garb something nearby. There is a microwave, kettle, and toaster oven available for use.

This is a lecture style class on the Long Arm but skills are transferrable to a domestic machine, students will have a chance to try out the machine during class

Instructor Bio:	I'm a longarm quilter and textile artist based in beautiful Revelstoke, British Columbia. I’ve been crafting my whole life, and took up quilting after a particularly fortuitous project in college where I was studying to be a fine arts major. I love sharing my passion with people all over the country and world. I’ve got two fur babies that I (almost) love more than my husband and two grown daughters. When not buried in fabric or teaching classes, you'll probably find me catching up on my favorite shows or planning an epic road trip.
