Sashiko Technique - January

A sashiko technique class teaches the Japanese art of hand-stitching with a simple running stitch to create bold, geometric patterns on fabric, originally for mending and reinforcing clothing but now also for decoration. Classes cover essential skills like selecting designs, transferring them onto fabric, and using traditional "little stabs" to create durable, decorative patterns suitable for transforming textiles, repairing garments, or creating new home goods and accessories.

Large pair of scissors
glue stick
pins
erasable fabric pen( preferably not blue)
thimble (optional)
small ruler
