Instructor Bio: | I have been quilting for 43 years and have taken numerous classes from many local, national, and international teachers over all those years. I have been teaching quilting for much of that time, and increasingly so since I retired. I have a series of classes called Absolutely Scrappy Club at Thread and Paper. This club is focused on a scrappy approach to quilting and is geared for quilters with basic quiltmaking knowledge. It includes many tips, techniques, numerous ideas on how to use multiple fabrics, and demos on the blocks presented, sashing and border ideas that could be useful to any type of quilting project. Each month is a new block with specifics of any variations that could be made. I strive to have each participant work in the direction that they choose, learning good habits to become more accurate and successful in all their projects. Students work at their own pace, with individual attention as well as the group lesson. It is meant to be a fun, no-stress class to share ideas. |
